Artist's Statement: " I believe that artistic and creative pursuits not
only bring us joy, but are also a powerful way to discover, express,and
even heal the inner self"
Janet Berg, a native Cincinnatian, divides her time between the
healing and creative arts. She is a certified clinical hypnotherapist, EFT
practitioner, and Reiki master in private practice in Mason, OH. She
paints in pastel and oil, and also teaches in her studio 301 at the
Pendleton Art Center. She paints a variety of subjects of her choosing
and also by commission including special places, natural landscapes,
and portraits (people, pets, and homes). She feels that her paintings
are not only a personal expression, but also a continuation of her
healing practice.
Art critic Daniel Brown has said of her work, "Berg's pastel and oil
landscapes reveal and inner spirituality...her inspirations are
inner/outer, within nature and within herself... her work in tranquil and
calm... Berg's art refreshes, nurtures, and uplifts us spiritually."
Ms. Berg is an active member of the Cincinnati Art Club, and her
work is displayed in various galleries and in Studio 301 at the Pendleton
Art Center the Final Friday (6-10pm) and Second Look Saturday (10-2)
of every month, or by appointment. She now has a display of her work
at Sweet Art of Mine Gallery in West Chester, OH.
